Yesterday we went on a field trip to Khadeeja Islamic Center in Salt Lake City by way of Mazza (Lebanese restaurant) and the AMES Academy Arabic class with Michelle Safadi and her exchange teacher from Egypt, Samir Gibrail.
You are among the first students in the nation to learn Arabic in high school. It will help you stand out on your college applications. Arabic is a 'critical need' language in the country. The government will pay over $100,000 for your skills when you graduate from college. Arabic is also a great course for students looking for a challenging but manageable experience in high school. We welcome you.
